So, after I wrote about the premiere of the Next Food Network Star yesterday, I realized I was onto something… Why not combine the two shows! Really, think about it. All the great “Jerseyness” of Jersey Shore cast combined with the “cooking” competitions of The Next Food Network Star.  The winner would get his or her own cooking show that would air simultaneously on MTV and Food Network.

Imagine it. Snookie trying to make a perfect hollandaise sauce.  Or Mike “The Situation” burning his six pack abs (because of course he would cook without a shirt) while attempting to make calamari.  JWoww calling it quits when she realized she couldn’t bully Giada and Bobby into voting for her. And Sammi & Ronni demanding that they compete as a couple. Oh, the tears that would flow over ruined souffles & burnt chicken! Watch out Neelys! Pauly D? He would probably win the entire competition by sticking to his Italian roots.

Why not? Let’s just go there instead of dancing around the perimeter.
